Britney Spears, Paris Hilton & Lindsay Lohan

These poor, poor girls. I can't seem to go to the grocery store or watch the news without hearing about one or another. And unfortunately for them, most of it is not positive. From Britney's fued with her mom, to her highly publicized iffy parenting skills, to Paris' emotional breakdown in jail, to, well, jail, and Lindsay's second stint at drug rehabilitation what more need I say?

I truly do hope the best for these young women, and for Britney's boys. I think they were all forced to grow up too fast, under the microscope of the tabloids. If they want to change, they need to remove themselves from that. I truly thing they need to move away from LA and the whole Hollywood party scene and attempt to live a "normal" life far away from the limelight. I hope they mature enough to figure that out themselves, soon, rather than later.

Another online coupon site KeepCash.com

If you haven't noticed, I am a tightwad and I am really big on saving money when ever possible. For both my real world shopping and online shopping, I always look for coupons and ways to save before I buy. I try and buy things on sale, with a coupon and through a rewards site, whenever possible, to maximize my savings.

I just discovered another online coupon site called Keepcash.com and wanted to point it out to my readers. The site is updated daily with the latest coupons and product deals. It is a a consumer friendly easy to use site that is useful for finding the latest bargains on the web. They offer over a 1000 different merchants to shop through so you are bound to find several of your favorite stores. Be sure to check out the Keepcash site first before shopping at your favorite retailer.

They currently have several computer deals for Dell if you are in the market for a new computer. Or if you are like me and spending more time outside working in your yard or garden, they have several gardening coupons listed for Gardeners Supply Company. My mothers birthday is coming up next month, and I may just get her some flowers using coupons for Flower.com that are currently listed.

Two additional features they offer which are very handy indeed, are a weekly newsletter and an RSS feed. You can get free online coupons delivered directly to your inbox, or subscribe to their feed, and check for new coupons or deals listed when you are checking in on all your feeds. Both of these features are extremely convenient and I think they will help you to remember to check for coupons if you choose to use either of these options. Having a regular newsletter in your inbox with the latest coupons, would definently help you to remember they are out there before you go shopping.

Your small business is growing, so start hiring!

You know you small business is doing well and growing when it is time to take on employees other than yourself. As you expand, you will need to look at payroll software options as well as other benefit programs. This can be quite a daunting task for many. If I had a business that had grown to this level, I would be hiring an HR person el pronto to deal with these tasks. Although they are a necessity for a growing buisness, these don't sound like tasks I would want to be bogged down with. I would rather have someone familiar with these types of HR issues running that, than trying to figure it all out myself. Time = money, and this is definently somewhere I'd rather hire out the work.

Online relationships with FriendFinder

Are you single and looking to find that perfect someone? Have you considered looking online? If so, you should check out FriendFinder. It's a very user friendly site for singles that has connected a lot of people. It is a tool to make connections via the internet easy, connections for friendship, romance, dating and more. I personally have never had an online relationship that was romantic in that sense, but I know several people who have with great success. One of our friends met his new wife online, and they have been married for almost 2 yrs now!

I especially like how this site has three different places to find people that you might connect with. It has blogs, groups and chat. You can join for free with a standard membership, or upgrade to a premium membership for less than 25 cents a day. Premium membership offers many more privileges. The site has members from all over the globe, and provides easy to use tools to narrow your search down to just what you are looking for. You can do a search to find people near you, personality type you are looking for, you can narrow the search to members with photos, see who is popular and much more.

Another advantage of using an online service such as FriendFinder, is the safety of meeting people from your own home. You can slowly get to know someone before you decide to meet them for the first time. You can also chat with other more experienced users in the chat rooms and get their advice on meeting someone for the first time. Having the ability to get to know someone slowly over time via the internet seems to be a much more viable option than hoping to meet Mr. or Miss. Right in a bar out of the blue.

TGIF!

Well, it's not quite Friday yet, but it's only about an hour and a half away and I am looking forward to it! First week of summer vacation with the kids home, and it's been low key so far. Kids are on a playdate tomorrow so I get to grocery shop on my own, (WHOO HOO!) and we have a BBQ planned with friends tomorrow night. Hope you all have a great weekend and be sure to check out my new site at A Problogger Mom.

Save money shopping online with coupons

Do you shop online? If you do, be sure and save some money using online shopping coupons from www.CouponChief.com.

It is very easy to use these coupons, the hardest part is remembering to actually do it! First, go to the CouponChief homepage. Next, choose the retailer on the homepage that you wish to shop with. They have over 1,000! Some of my favorites are Office Depot or CompUSA for your work at home office needs, or maybe Target to get those kids some new summertime activies!

So next time you plan to shop online, don't forget to go to CouponChief first, and save yourself some money!

Just a reminder!

This is just a quick note to remind those who may be reading to check out my new self hosted blog at A Problogger Mom.

I signed up for Payperpost quite awhile ago with this blog, and have not been actively using them, however, I must have 10 posts on a current blog listed with them before I can add a new blog, so pardon the sponsored posts for a bit. So I may be posting a few reminders about the new blog also! Don't forget to check it out and change your bookmarks, the new site is A Problogger Mom. Thanks so much!

I started this blog, to document my attempts to earn money via blogging. As a newbie blogger, Payperpost is an excellent blog marketing source that I can use right away start to earn some cash. Payperpost is also another venue for advertisers to use to get their message out, via bloggers.

I have been signed up with Payperpost for awhile, but to be honest, this is my first accepted oppurtunity. TGIF! Need advice on blog transition please!

Anyone have an Orlando vacation rental I can use for free?!!? I would love to take off to the land of make believe and visit Disney World right about now.

It's been one of those weeks and I could use some hugs! Family drama + moving to the new blog, and did I say family drama? Both have taken their toll! But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully I will be there soon.

Would love advice on what to do with this blog next though. I have already copied over most of the pertinent "problogger" related posts to the new blog, but would like to kind of keep this one going as well, but obiously not have it duplicate the others content, so I am not quite sure what to do. Not quite ready to "launch" the new one officially yet, still have to play with the widgets over there.

Seems most people just let their Blogger blog fizzle out with a redirect type of post to the new blog address tacked at the top. Keeping it going seems complicated in several ways, it seems easier to let it fizzle out and cut ties with it as far as posting anything new here.......any thoughts?

Did you ever wish you went a different direction with your career?

I went to college for architecture. Yes, the old fashioned kind, that designs buildings. I find it kind of funny that today, there are probably more architects around doing software design than the REAL kind. I worked doing commercial tenant improvements for almost six years before staying home with my kids. Unfortunately, I got so burnt out in the field while working, I don't think I'll ever go back. Too much pressure to meet deadlines, long hours and not so great pay, unless you own your own firm I guess. I've always been interested in real estate though, and wondered if being a realtor or real estate broker might be more my cup of tea. I love looking at houses, snooping around to see what's for sale in the area. Maybe one day, when the kids are older and on their own. I think it would take up too much of my family time now to go that route. How about you, have you got a second career goal outside of the blogosphere?

Sneak Peak at new blog!

Just a quick post for those curious about the new blog! Here's a sneak preview!

A Problogger Mom

Still need to work on the sidebars and figuring out the way the widgets work over there. So far I'm liking it a lot, just don't have a lot of time this week to devote to figuring things out!

I need a clone!

Don't you ever wish you had a clone? Man, I really need one this week. I'd be happy to hand my DNA over to someone, anyone at this point! Trying to figure out Wordpress and get the new blog up and running, has been much more cumbersome than I thought, and it is just crazy with the kids at this time of year with school coming to an end and my dad flying in this weekend for a week. ACK! If anyone is taking orders, I'll take an organizing clone, an errand clone, a house cleaning clone....I think that should do it for starters!

Vacation Honey-Do lists and a Picket Fence

My husband had last week off and we have been extremely busy catching up on the yard work, celebrating our 15 yr wedding anniversary and we even squeezed in a camping trip over Memorial Day weekend. The weather was absolutely perfect for being outside. We have had a two week period of summer move in with temps in the 80's and lots and lots of sun. We are still getting over sunburns and achy muscles! Now our regular Seattle weather has moved back in and it is drizzly and near 60.

The fence was the major project for the week, but Hubby also tilled all the beds for me, put up the 15' x 42" Intex pool, and built a shade cover over the chicken pen. I got the vegie gardens going and I started planting a new flower bed in the back yard and got all my larger pots planted in the front.

I feel like we were extremely productive, hubby had quite an extensive "Honey-Do" list, and made great progress, and now it is time for us both to get back to our realities!
